A crown is a type of cap made of porcelain that is placed over an existing tooth. First, the tooth is then usually ground off so that the crown fits exactly over it. The crown is glued on, and also takes over the chewing function of the tooth.
When can you get a crown done?
A bridge may be needed when teeth are missing, such as because they have been pulled. A replacement tooth is placed, attached to the teeth next to it. These are ground off and a crown is placed over them. So a bridge consists of two or more crowns.

Different choices around materials and color are presented and together you choose the most beautiful and durable solution for your teeth. The number of treatments needed, usually two or three, is also discussed at that time.
